Engineers can connect a calendar that NearOps reads to create availability blocks, preventing customers from booking during existing commitments. Engineers stay in control of which calendar is read.

Engineer connects Google

From their NearOps account, an engineer authorises Google Calendar and picks which calendar to write to and read from.

Bookings create events

Each new booking creates a calendar event with customer, service, and location. Updates and cancellations sync automatically.

External events block slots

Events on the connected calendar appear as blocked availability so customers can't book over real commitments.

Your calendar data stays your calendar data.

NearOps uses Google Calendar access only to help connected engineers manage bookings and availability. When an engineer connects Google Calendar, NearOps may create booking events, update booking events when appointments are rescheduled, delete or mark events when bookings are cancelled, and read events from a selected calendar to create availability blocks. NearOps does not sell Google user data, does not use Google Calendar data for advertising, and users can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from their account settings.
